- Master Sergeant Lauren Harper is the main character in my mystery series. She’s a broadcast journalist in the Army, a job that takes her all over the world to cover the good and the bad about Army life. The bad part is she keeps stumbling over bodies. The good part is she’s smart enough to figure stuff out. My first published work, "I'm Still Standing," tells the story of Shoshana Johnson, a female P.O.W. taken captive during the Iraq war. The book is set to be published in February 2010. I can hardly wait. I earn a living by working for the Army in a job no one cares about. I live in Baltimore, Maryland.
